| Dave Crow | Very nice. I like it a lot. |
| loveisthelaw | 'Click here' for the first time visitors... I think it would be very clear if you just said "Check out our visitors guide!" I assume "happening on the hill" is the sermons section? The sermon archives leads one to think that... but as my favorite book on web design says: don't make me think. Design-wise, it's fine IMO. Although, it does look an awful lot like most of the other new church websites I've been seeing. |
| SeanPdesign | people with out portfolios should keep their comments to themselves and shut up kthnxbai. |
| pwonflickr | wow, sean : ) @love...if you look at ghd's portfolio, you will understand he is one of our most talented designers and web gurus. you are free to your opinions, certainly, but seriously, check out his full body of work. a better perspective might educate your comments. the things you have pointed out are very...how should we say...nit picky? we would like to see some of your design work. as for you ghd, bravo on another great site. |
| jgumm | Beautiful as always @ghd. I love the colors and the texture. As always, you manage to get a lot of information on a home page without it looking crazy and jumbled. Bravo. |
| Elliott Muñoz | Beyotch. Nice work, Greg. Very nice work. |
| SeanPdesign | I should probably ad that this design is awesome so sayeth the Sean who is all not knowing and all not present if at all. |
| churchovate | @sean I am in man-love(in a macho non-gay way) with you. You are hilarious. |
| mikescott29 | Thnx SeanP.. one of the first things I do after getting Constructive Criticism from those I don't know is to see if maybe our styles don't match up.. When people have a lot of opinions and never put themselves out there (their work) it drives me nuts... BTW the design is great and I don't know how much more clear the points could be... |
| loveisthelaw | If I've offended Greg (or anyone else), then I'm sorry. I'll refrain from further comments on design pieces. |
| SeanPdesign | Do not cross the Sean for I will smite the with sandwiches!!!!!!!! |
| tday777 | All I've got to say is WOW. *sigh* jealous of the skillz |
| SeanPdesign | yeah ma wrtin skillz are pretty wow, thanks oh you mean the design, yeah he aint so bad huh? Iz totz him all Iz knowz... :-P |
| BeckyMartin | Great work, as always. jgumm is right about your ability to include a lot of entry points without being overwhelming. Part of what makes this so inviting is the complimentary palette of the images you've selected. I'm curious if you talk with your clients or provide them any written/visual guidance on the continued used of images that blend with the skin you develop. It seems to me that some of the beauty could be lost (with any of the sites you so lovingly create) in the months after release just because the client decides to use images with garish colors. |
| GHD PHOTOGRAPHY & DESIGN | Thanks everyone... your comments are very humbling and appreciated. @loveisthelaw, I'm not offended @BeckyMartin, I dont write any guidance for images... I think it might be clearly seen that certain images work and some dont. I do if needed provide either .psd/.png files for use (I have done this many times in the past) and in one instance I created a photoshop action for the client so they can treat all the images the way I did without a lot of photoshop knowledge. |
